The new Storm Drain Defender for Curb Inlet Drains, is a temporary solution for Type 1 basins with a man hole cover and no grate. The insert hangs from a wire frame that is held in place in the opening by a simple support bar. This catch basin insert will trap leaves, debris, sediment and pollutants that are carried by storm water into the drainage system, reducing the amount of pollutants that enter the waterway.

Material - Standard Fabic 8 oz Polypropylene, Non-Woven Geotextile fabric.
Flow Rate - Maximum overflow rate varies depending on the level of debris and sediment that has accumulated in the fabric. Proper maintenance in mandatory to maintain maximum water flow. The Storm Drain Defender units have overflow outlets to allow excessive water during heavy rain showers to bypass the system, reducing the chance of flooding or ponding.
