The STORM DRAIN DEFENDER is a simple sheet of geotextile fabric supported by a wire frame. The standard round models adjust to fit round drains size 27" - 29" in diameter. The entire unit is under the grate, no excess fabric extends above the grate, creating a safer environment for pedestrians. No trimming required.
Specifications:
Size: Round—Adjusts from 27” to 29” diameter. The single fabric sheet is 4’x5’. The depth varies, depending on the size of the drain and how deep the fabric hangs down.
Material: 8 oz Polypropylene, Non-Woven Geotextile Fabric.
Flow Rate: Maximum overflow rate varies depending on the level of debris and sediment that has accumulated in the fabric. Proper maintenance is mandatory to maintain maximum water flow.
The STORM DRAIN DEFENDER units have overflow outlets to allow excessive water during heavy rain showers to bypass the system, reducing the chance of flooding or ponding.

Disposal: Disposal is dependent on nature of pollutants being collected. Disposal should be in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

Full = Weight of empty unit plus weight of sediment and water trapped in unit. Dry sediment could weigh 30-50 pounds.
Fully loaded, wet units can weigh approximately 85-135 pounds.
